No. It never will. Entry is free for every Maker, and it is written into our Maker Agreement as a binding term, not a launch promotion. Subscriptions buy production capacity — storage, longer runtimes, 4K, serials. They buy nothing at all in the competition.
No, and the design makes it impossible rather than discouraged. Only Fuel that viewers earned by watching counts toward a film's rank. Purchased Fuel buys visibility and tips and touches no award outcome. A jury then decides the winners from the audience shortlist, on criteria published before the month opens.
You do, entirely. You grant us permission to stream it and to use short extracts to promote FlickFuel, with your name on it. No exclusivity of any kind — enter it elsewhere, sell it, screen it, post it. Remove it whenever you like.
Yes. It is paid by us out of our revenue, to fund your next film, and it is a prize for merit in a competition of skill. We publish the pool size and the split before each Festival opens. We would rather announce a small pot and pay it than a large one and not.
You conceived it, directed it, and cut it. The tools are the medium, not the authorship. Declare what you used — Veo, Sora, Kling, Runway, Suno, whatever — and we show it on the film card. What we reject is someone else's film, someone else's prompt passed off as yours, or music you haven't cleared.
Because a story needs room, and because every other platform has already optimised for the opposite. If we let thirty-second clips in, we become a feed with extra steps within a month. It is the one rule we will not trade for growth.
