Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Indrevo covering your use of FlickFuel — the Festival, Fuel, subscriptions and Production Grants.
The short version. FlickFuel is a monthly film festival on your phone. You must be 18 or over. Fuel is a voting token — it has no cash value, we never buy it back, and buying Fuel does not buy a film a win. Entering the Festival is free. Winners are chosen by a jury from an audience shortlist, and Production Grants are paid by us, from our revenue, at our discretion. This box is a summary, not a substitute for the terms below.
1. Who we are, and what this agreement is
FlickFuel (the “Service”) is operated by Indrevo, a business name of Blackhold Group Pty Ltd (ACN 702 584 790), of Suite 17, 89–97 Jones Street, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia (“Indrevo”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and us covering your use of the FlickFuel mobile application, the flickfuel.online website, and every related service we provide.
By creating an account, or by using the Service at all, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
If you submit films to the Service you are also bound by the Maker Agreement, which governs entries, rights and Production Grants. Where the Maker Agreement and these Terms conflict on a matter it covers, the Maker Agreement governs.
2. You must be 18
The Service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and you must be 18 or over to hold an account at any time. There is no under-18 tier, no supervised mode and no parental-consent path — if you are under 18 you may not use FlickFuel.
We check age at sign-up, we act on age signals the app store or operating system gives us, and we close accounts we come to believe belong to a person under 18. You can ask us to reconsider by writing to admin@flickfuel.online.
We only keep the narrowest age fact we need — that you are over 18 — and we destroy any verification artefact once that decision is recorded. See the Privacy Policy.
3. Your account
- One account per person. Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, shared, rented or transferred.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- Give us accurate information and keep it current. Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting a connection to a person or organisation, is a breach of these Terms.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion is explained in section 12 and in the Privacy Policy.
4. Fuel — what it is and what it is not
Fuel (⚡) is a token inside the Service that lets you express support for a film. There are two kinds, and the difference matters.

Fuel has no monetary value. It is a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use a feature of the Service. It is not currency, not a security, not a deposit, not stored value and not property. It cannot be exchanged for money, withdrawn, sold, gifted outside the Service, or transferred to another account. We do not buy it back. Purchased Fuel does not expire. We may change what Fuel costs, what it does, and how much of it a feature needs, on reasonable notice.
Purchases of Fuel are final. Where the law of your country gives you a refund or cooling-off right that cannot be excluded — for example the Australian Consumer Law, or EU and UK distance-selling rules — that right applies and nothing here limits it. Where you bought through an app store, that store’s refund process applies.
5. The Festival, and how winners are chosen
A Festival runs for one calendar month, from 00:00 UTC on the first day to 23:59:59 UTC on the last. At the close of each Festival the board is frozen, awards are made, and the board resets to zero. No film and no Maker carries a score into the next month.
- Entry is free. No payment of any kind is required to enter a film, to be eligible for any award, or to receive a Production Grant. A Maker subscription buys tools, storage and capacity — never entry and never eligibility.
- Eligibility. A film must run for at least three minutes, be published at least 72 hours before the Festival closes, clear moderation, carry no live copyright strike, and be the original work of a Maker aged 18 or over.
- Audience shortlist. Earned Fuel and pass rates produce a ranked shortlist in each category.
- Jury decision. A jury appointed by us then selects Gold, Silver and Bronze in each category, and Best Picture, Best Debut and Audience Choice, applying published criteria: storytelling, craft, originality and use of the medium. The jury’s decision determines the winners and is final. Outcomes turn on the merit of the work, not on chance and not on spending.
- Review. Anomalies, ties and suspected manipulation go to a review queue for up to 48 hours before any award is confirmed or paid. We may disqualify an entry we reasonably believe has been manipulated.
Where a country requires it, an additional condition of award applies — for example, a Canadian entrant must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question before an award is released. Awards are void where prohibited, and are subject to any permit conditions applying in your jurisdiction.
6. Production Grants
A Production Grant is a discretionary award paid by Indrevo out of its own revenue to fund a Maker’s next film. It is a prize for merit in a competition of skill. It is not a share of revenue, not a commission, not a royalty, not a return on any purchase, and not a payment made on behalf of any user to any other user. No user’s purchase entitles any Maker to any sum, and we make no representation that a purchase will reach any particular Maker.
Grant terms, eligibility, identity verification and payment are set out in the Maker Agreement.
7. Subscriptions and payment
FlickFuel offers paid subscriptions (FlickFuel+, Maker Indie, Maker Studio) and one-off Fuel packs. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. Cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- Where you buy directly from us, payment is processed by Stripe and Stripe’s terms apply to that transaction. Where you buy inside an app store, that store handles billing, renewals and refunds under its own terms.
- Prices are in the currency shown and may exclude taxes, which are added where required. We may change prices on reasonable notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. Rights you grant us, and the warranties you give about your films, are set out in the Maker Agreement. For comments, Notes, profile text and anything else you post, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that material for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service, for as long as you keep it on the Service and for a reasonable period afterwards for backup and legal-record purposes.
9. What you must not do
The Community Guidelines set the standard for everything posted on FlickFuel and form part of these Terms. In addition, you must not:
- manipulate rankings — using multiple accounts, automation, bought engagement, coordinated voting rings or any other artificial means;
- attempt to buy, sell or trade Fuel, accounts, Laurels, rankings or awards;
- scrape, download, re-stream, mirror or redistribute any film on the Service, or circumvent any access control, signed URL or streaming protection;
- reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the Service, or probe, scan or test its security;
- use the Service to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to harm anyone.
10. Moderation and enforcement
Films are reviewed before they become publicly visible. We may remove content, restrict features, withhold or reverse an award, suspend an account or terminate it where we reasonably believe these Terms, the Guidelines or the Maker Agreement have been breached, or where we are required to act by law.
Where we take action against your content or your account we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents it, and you may appeal by writing to admin@flickfuel.online. We aim to answer appeals within 14 days. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the EU Digital Services Act or any equivalent regime where you live.
11. Where FlickFuel is available
We do not make the Service available in every country. Access is restricted in some markets while we complete licensing or legal review, and is blocked in countries subject to sanctions we must observe. You must not use a VPN, proxy or false location to get around a restriction.
12. Ending this agreement
You may stop using FlickFuel at any time, and you may delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, wallet and unspent Fuel, and does not entitle you to any refund of Fuel or of a subscription period already paid for.
Where other people have Fueled a film you published, that film’s record may be retained in anonymised form for up to 30 days so that the Festival it took part in stays consistent, then purged. Records we must keep for tax, payment or legal-dispute purposes are kept for as long as the law requires.
We may terminate or suspend your access for breach, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service entirely we will give reasonable notice and will honour any Production Grant already awarded.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any film, ranking or award will produce any particular result for you. We make no promise of income, exposure, audience or career outcome to any Maker.
To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data or loss of goodwill. Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of AU$100 and the amount you paid us in that period.
Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees. Where we are permitted to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. Consumers in other countries keep the equivalent non-excludable rights their law gives them.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. Where a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the version and effective date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept it, stop using the Service and delete your account.
15. Disputes, and the law that applies
These Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
Before starting proceedings, please write to us at admin@flickfuel.online and give us 30 days to resolve the matter.
16. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it to a related company or in connection with a sale of the business. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and (for Makers) the Maker Agreement, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
